Getting a burrito from a burger place? That’s like ….. playing fetch with a cat or buying a comb for a bald guy.
To promote Taco Bell’s new Breakfast Burrito, we questioned the logic of getting a burrito from our main competitor by introducing the #ThatsLike digital campaign. We asked fans to generate ridiculous #thatsLike scenarios and tweet them to us. We then turned the best ones into animated GIFs. The real-time campaign was an immediate success, tripling traffic to Taco Bell's Twitter page and adding hundreds of new followers.
